Inspired by a hero of mine since childhood when my mother would take us to Scripps Institute where I heard Dr. Sylvia Earle speak for the first time, I wanted to make something beautiful - something hopeful, as an entry point to considering how very important our oceans, and the delicate balance within them, are to our survival. I’ll leave all of the science to back this up to those who are well versed and knowledgable in that arena… but for my part, I believe that the sheer wonder of it that takes your breath away when you experience it first hand, is God speaking to us in the language of beauty. We should be listening more carefully.
